"a church bell shatters my sleepless night into series of quarters"
'eiko': joana aderi (voc, electr.)
intense live act for one voice, two microphones and a laptop
sometimes featuring guests. for example joy frempong (voc), flo götte (e-bass), marianne halmrast (bass)
joana aderi's own voice provides the basis for her compositions. the music always emerges from her inside, where flowers can be snow, bungalows pretend to be high and wildebeast are passing by.
sweet pop tunes with angry edges, pushy old school techno, fragile renaissance vocal meldoies. and in the end it is all eiko. eiko, which is japanese and can be translated as "the up and down of a lifetime".
