joana aderi

born in Schaffhausen (CH), grown up in Central Switzerland,
including seven years of boarding school in Immensee (CH),
provincial backwater, not much to do than music (and mountaineering).

during her teenage years: playing the piano, singing in a rockband...
but mainly focusing on renaissance music with both voice and violine.

in the year 2000, a sudden break with old music, out of an urgent need to do the music she hears inside.
since then uncompromisingly following her own musical track

moved to Norway in August 2006, where the music scene is small, but very open-minded.

education/diplomas:
2000: choir conducting diploma, focus on renaissance music (AKI Luzern, CH)
2005: bachelor in jazz singing (MHS Basel, CH)
2008: master's degree in "performing and composing" (NTNU Trondheim, Norway)
